Orlando Nightlife is more than Just Nightclubs

Orlando NightlifeWide awake and looking for something fun to do this evening? While Club Firestone, Roxy, and the Independent Bar are all great places to go, there are more than just nightclubs involved in the Orlando nightlife.

Catch a flick! Pointe Orlando is one of many places to check out the newest blockbuster hits on the silver screen. With IMAX and stadium seating, grabbing some popcorn and a soda while kicking back for a good show could be just the perfect thing.

If a movie is not the type of show on the agenda, check out a live performance. Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba in Downtown Disney provides awe-inspiring performances that leave viewers mystified. This French named circus troop performs an act that roughly translates to English as “party, to live it up.”

They say laughter is the best medicine. Exercise the abs and take in a laugh at the SAK Comedy Lab or the Improv Comedy Club and Restaurant. With several performances scheduled throughout the week, there are many chances to fill the doctor’s order.

Hungry? Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue offers entertainment while dining on BBQ and fried chicken. This raved about “old-fashioned dinner show” in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is fun for family and friends. While laughing and watching the skits, guests can indulge in the all-you-can-eat-buffet.

If dinner entertainment is meant to be left up to a savory meal, Orlando has a place for every taste bud. Jack’s Place is calling you with fresh seafood or the perfect cut of prime rib. Izziban Sushi is a hot spot with a massive array of sushi while Cedar’s Lebanese Cuisine caters to those craving Hummus and Falafel.

Concerts are not just limited to summer. UCF Arena and Amway Arena host big headliners from Slipknot and Fleetwood Mac to Robin Williams all year long. Hard Rock Live and House of Blues also have venues that are well worth checking out for those who need a beat to groove to without a disco ball. Want something more intimate? Orlando has that too. Smaller music havens bring in local bands and well known artists that prefer to be up close and personal with their fans.

Sports fanatic? During basketball season, the Orlando Magic slam dunks thrills and excitement for their fans. Champion Stadium hosts spring training for the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

Of course there is always Disney World and its affiliated parks. With fireworks displays, amusement rides, parades, and various performances, Walt Disney’s ingenious play land is fun for families, group functions and date nights. Regardless if you are an Orlando native or a tourist complete with a camera, role playing in Epcot’s World Showcase never gets old. Have a rendezvous in Paris, France, and then indulge in a Chinese egg roll.

The night is young and Orlando is calling. Get out of that recliner, put on some shoes (remember, no shirts, no shoes, no service) and head out or a night of fun in this town where nightclubbing is not the only thing on tonight’s agenda.
