To ensure that Discovery Cove is truly a guest-centered experience, attendance is limited to approximately 1,000 each day. At, Discovery Cove, the focus is on exceptional service so someone is always on hand to help meet any want or need.
The all-inclusive Discovery Cove adventure includes unlimited time in the Tropical Reef, where guests explore an underwater playground full of thousands of colorful, tropical fish and snorkel with schools of velvety, graceful rays. The Explorer’s Aviary leads guests through a lush jungle settling where they can hand-feed more than 250 exotic birds. The Wind-Away River and sandy beaches with comfortable chaise lounges add to the paradise, but the centerpiece of the park, and the highlight of the guest experience, is the dolphin interaction.
Dolphin dreams come true in Discovery Cove’s clear lagoons. Each participant enjoys up-close interaction, becoming acquainted with their dolphin through hugs, kisses and feeding. At the end, each guest is treated to an exhilarating tow back to shore while holding on to the dolphin’s dorsal fin.
Along with immersive animal experiences, guests find Discovery Cove amenities similar to a world-class resort. Guests are welcomed by a concierge and receive a lanyard and access card for all-day amenities. Each guest is provided a swim vest or wetsuit, plush beach towel, and a water bag containing the day’s essentials from snorkel and swim mask to dolphin-friendly sunscreen. In addition, private lockers and men’s and women’s dressing areas provide guests with Crabtree & Evelyn bath products, showers, towels and blow dryers.
Private cabanas are also available at an additional rental fee and are tucked within the lush landscape overlooking the most scenic and popular location at the park ― the Dolphin Lagoon. Complete with table and chairs, chaise lounges, refrigerator, towels, and fresh flowers, the private cabanas provide an oasis within an oasis.
The Discovery Cove experience includes meals, snacks and beverages throughout the day’s adventures. Guests may indulge in the continental breakfast and convenient snack stations located throughout the park. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Laguna Grill, and offers a variety of chef specialties and familiar family favorites. To quench their thirst, guests are welcome to ice-cold beverages, including bottled water, soda and wine or beer.
