Festival of the Trees 2007

The Council of 101 presents the 21st Anniversary of the Festival of Trees, the largest annual special event fund raiser for the Orlando Museum of Art. This spectacular nine day holiday extravaganza features the most beautiful decorated trees, holiday treasures and special events. 

The Museum is transformed into a holiday wonderland where trees and festive decorations delight visitors of all ages. This magical event is created by many, supported by the community and enjoyed by all, benefiting the Orlando Museum of Art.

Experience the festive sights and sounds at this year Festival of Trees beginning Saturday, November 10 through Sunday, November 18, 2007.

About the 2006 Annual Festival of Trees...

During the 20th Annual Festival of Trees, the Council of 101 honored artists and featured superb entertainment for Latin music lovers. 

Among the events presented was an "Artist's Wall."  where local artists  displayed their art in the Museum during the Festival of Trees, giving everyone an opportunity to see the wide range of talent that exists right here in Central Florida.

Other events included the "Latin Night." A lively evening party featuring Latin music along with great food provided by several of the best restaurants in the area. The Festival of Trees offered beautiful decorations and amazing special events to entertain every member of the family.

Beautiful displays of small trees and decorative wreaths adorned the walls in the delightful Deck the Halls area. Every tree, wreath and gingerbread house were available for purchase.

Among other displays presented were...

• Toyland Town: Where children enjoyed the hand painted murals of a North Pole village, make holiday crafts and even send electronic letters to Santa.

• Gingerbread Village: Where local chef's of major well known hotels and restaurants invited guests to "See and Smell" their culinary expertise.

• Tree Raffle: Guests tried their luck and win a fully decorated Christmas tree that was auctioned off at the end of the festival.

• Last but not least, numerous visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus throughout last year spectacular celebration!

Location: The OMA is located at 2416 N. Mills Ave., Orlando Loch Haven Park, Orlando, FL 32803-1483. The OMA is easily accessible from Interstate 4. From I-4, take the Princeton Street exit #85 east to Mills Avenue. Turn left onto Mills and left again onto Rollins Street. OMA's parking is on the left.
