Aquatica Orlando Announces Brand New Water Experience for 2020

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In case you don’t know about Aquatica Orlando, it was voted the USA’s number 1 waterpark. With 47 water slides (many of which are high-speed thrills), exhilarating wave pools and 84,000 square feet of paradise beaches, it’s a well-deserved title.

As its fun for the whole family – kids, parents and grandparents, it is always on the Orlando ‘places to visit’ list. For a single day, 1 park admission ticket, expect to pay around $80.99, (less if you book online and in advance!) For more ticket information visit the official Aquatica website.

New for 2019

This year SeaWorld’s water park, Aquatica, welcomed a new and unique high adrenaline water adventure, called KareKare Curl, which means curling waves. It’s a 2-person ride, so bring a friend or loved one and make sure you grab the needed inflatable before joining the line.

What makes this ride super special is that provides all who dare to ride it, an experience of weight loss!!! Are you excited to get wet? To ride the KareKare Curl you need to be a minimum of 48 inches (1.22m) tall.

If this unique ride wasn’t enough to quench your appetite for aquatic fun, they recently announced another new addition to the park, coming next year, 2020.

Riptide Race, New For 2020, at Aquatica Orlando

Aquatica is continuously pushing the envelope on family water fun, with new, exciting and creative ways. David Heaton, Aquatica Orlando vice president, said that the “Riptide Race will offer a ride experience you won’t be able to get anywhere else in Florida. Aquatica will be the first waterpark in the state to have a thrilling, and more importantly, dueling water slide.”

What can we expect?

The ride will begin once you reach the top of a 68-foot tower! With a raft in hand, riders will race against one another. It’s a race to the winner’s line, through tight loops and both indoor and outdoor sections. To make the race authentic, riders will have their own racing lane. Each raft holds two riders, so this a partnered race. Who will you choose as your team member to race with, towards the finish line?

The Riptide Race is not a sprint! It a marathon of epic water fun. You can scream and cheer your way down nearly 650 feet of splashing slide!

Unfortunately, those under 42 inches tall (1.06m) will have to wait a while before soaring down the Riptide Race, as this is the height restriction. But this is a rather low height as Aquatica wants to include the whole family on this fantastic adrenaline ride.

In 2020, you’ll be able to compete in the Riptide Race, on the north side of the park next to Banana Beach Cook Out.
