Things To Do In Orlando

Holidays at Disney World 2026: Christmas Lights, Festive Fun, Special Events and Deals

The holidays are returning to Walt Disney World in a big way for 2026, bringing Christmas lights, festive entertainment, seasonal food, character experiences and plenty of reasons to make an Orlando getaway part of your holiday plans.

From November 13, 2026 through January 6, 2027, Walt Disney World will be filled with holiday décor, themed food and drinks, characters dressed for the season, special entertainment and new merchandise. Some experiences begin even earlier, giving visitors an extended window to enjoy the festivities.

Whether you’re planning a full Disney vacation or simply looking for a festive night out while visiting Orlando, here’s a look at some of the biggest holiday experiences coming to Walt Disney World for 2026.

Disney World Christmas 2026

Christmas Magic Returns to Magic Kingdom

Few places capture the nostalgia of a Disney Christmas quite like Magic Kingdom.

Main Street, U.S.A. becomes one of the most recognizable holiday scenes in Orlando, with seasonal decorations leading toward Cinderella Castle. Throughout the park, visitors will find plenty of opportunities for family photos and holiday memories.

See Cinderella Castle Transform During “Frozen Holiday Surprise!”

Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and more than 100 Snowgies return for “Frozen Holiday Surprise!”

During the nighttime show, Olaf and his Snowgie friends decorate Cinderella Castle with garlands, ornaments and wreaths before Elsa adds some Frozen magic, transforming the castle into a glowing centerpiece for the evening.

Visitors can also watch for Disney characters during Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, which is scheduled twice nightly, subject to cancellation.

One important planning note: Disney Starlight will not be presented on evenings when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Party nights instead feature Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Take a Ride on the Jingle Cruise

The Jungle Cruise once again gets its seasonal makeover as the Jingle Cruise returns for 2026.

Holiday decorations begin in the attraction’s queue before guests climb aboard for a roughly 10-minute journey filled with the familiar Jungle Cruise humor — only this time with a Christmas twist.

It’s a fun option for families who want a holiday experience without adding another separately ticketed event to their vacation.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

One of Walt Disney World’s signature holiday events also returns to Magic Kingdom on select nights.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event featuring seasonal entertainment, holiday attraction overlays, festive treats and the special atmosphere that has made the party an annual favorite.

Because the event takes place only on select evenings, visitors planning their Disney World Christmas 2026 trip should check party dates before choosing which days to visit Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT Celebrates Holidays Around the World

The holidays at EPCOT offer something different: a chance to experience seasonal traditions and flavors inspired by cultures from around the world.

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth runs from November 27 through December 30, 2026 and is included with regular theme park admission.

Guests can explore seasonal food, entertainment and holiday traditions throughout EPCOT, making the park an especially good choice for families and groups with a mix of interests.

Guardians of the Galaxy Gets a Holiday Soundtrack

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will also join the festivities.

From November 25, 2026 through January 6, 2027, guests can experience the attraction with a limited-time holiday track list featuring three seasonal songs.

It gives returning visitors another reason to experience one of EPCOT’s most popular attractions during the Christmas season.

A Hollywood Christmas at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will mix vintage Christmas atmosphere with several special entertainment experiences in 2026.

And some of the holiday fun begins before the official November 13 start of the broader Walt Disney World holiday celebration.

The Electric Mayhem Brings Christmas to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Beginning November 4, 2026, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets receives a seasonal twist with Obligatory Holiday Overlay.

The limited-time experience runs through January 6, 2027, bringing seasonal music and surprises to the attraction.

The holiday lineup includes songs performed by The Electric Mayhem, with appearances from Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper.

Alien Swirling Saucers also gets into the spirit with Lilypad’s Jams, featuring new seasonal versions of holiday favorites from November 4 through January 6.

Watch Sunset Seasons Greetings

When darkness falls, the Hollywood Tower Hotel becomes the backdrop for Sunset Seasons Greetings.

Nightly holiday projections transform the landmark into scenes including a Muppets gingerbread creation, a Toy Story-inspired toy hotel, snowy Arendelle and a Dickensian village inspired by Mickey’s Christmas Carol.

It’s an easy experience to add to an evening at Hollywood Studios and one of the park’s most recognizable Christmas traditions.

Sing Along with Frozen Favorites

“For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” also gets into the holiday spirit.

Inside the Hyperion Theater, guests can follow the Royal Historians of Arendelle as they retell the Frozen story, with appearances by Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf and a special seasonal finale.

Meet Toy Story Friends in Their Holiday Best

Toy Story Land adds oversized seasonal decorations to Andy’s backyard, while Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear dress for the holidays.

For families looking for a Disney Christmas-card photo, this could be one of the stops worth adding to the itinerary.

Enjoy Minnie’s Holiday Dine

Holiday dining also returns to Hollywood & Vine with Minnie’s Holiday Dine.

Minnie Mouse and friends dress for the season while guests enjoy a menu featuring selections such as oven-roasted herbed chicken, carved beef tenderloin, seared salmon, spice-rubbed pork loin and roasted mushroom-farro risotto.

Seasonal desserts round out the meal.

Advance reservations are highly recommended. Limited same-day reservations may be offered depending on availability.

Disney Jollywood Nights Returns

For a different kind of Disney Christmas party, Disney Jollywood Nights returns to Hollywood Studios on select evenings.

The separately ticketed event combines holiday entertainment, character encounters and limited-time experiences with a glamorous Hollywood-inspired Christmas atmosphere.

Go Wild for the Holidays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers a quieter and more nature-inspired take on the holidays, while still providing plenty of seasonal entertainment.

One stop to look for is Santa’s Holiday Grove, located across from “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue … and Beyond!” at Theater in the Wild.

Guests can follow a festive trail with intermittent snow flurries, seasonal food and drinks, holiday music and, of course, Santa Claus.

Meet the Merry Menagerie

One of Animal Kingdom’s most distinctive holiday experiences returns to Discovery Island.

The Merry Menagerie features artisan-sculpted puppets representing arctic animals, including penguins, reindeer, foxes and polar bears.

It’s interactive, photogenic and different from many of the traditional holiday attractions found elsewhere at Walt Disney World.

See the Tree of Life Awaken for Christmas

After sunset, the park’s centerpiece joins the celebration with the Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition.

Colorful animated imagery and holiday-inspired music bring the Tree of Life to life with wintry stories. The show begins around sunset and is scheduled approximately every 10 minutes until park closing.

Visitors can also meet Mickey and Minnie at Adventurers Outpost, where the pair appear in holiday attire.

Disney Springs Becomes a Holiday Destination of Its Own

You don’t need a theme park ticket to experience some Disney holiday magic.

Disney Springs becomes one of Orlando’s most accessible Christmas destinations, combining shopping, dining, entertainment and elaborate decorations.

New for the 2026 season is a limited-time Hallmark holiday pop-up store, scheduled to arrive in early October. The store will feature merchandise inspired by the Hallmark movie Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, along with greeting cards, collectible ornaments and Disney gifts.

Walk the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll

The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth returns with elaborately decorated trees inspired by Disney, Pixar and Star Wars favorites.

Visitors can explore the displays while shopping, dining or simply spending an evening at Disney Springs.

And yes, there’s even “snow” in Florida.

Nightly snowfall in Town Center adds an extra dose of holiday atmosphere and makes Disney Springs a particularly fun stop after dark.

Holiday Drinks and Bites at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will once again receive a seasonal overlay, filling the Indiana Jones-inspired watering hole with holiday decorations.

Seasonal bites, brews and cocktails will be offered during the winter, making it an easy stop between shopping at World of Disney and exploring the rest of Disney Springs.

Live Holiday Entertainment at Disney Springs

Select evenings will also feature roaming holiday entertainment and live music.

Regional and local bands are scheduled to perform at the AdventHealth Waterside Stage, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visitors doing some last-minute Christmas shopping can also stop at Disney’s Days of Christmas and World of Disney for seasonal merchandise.

Where to Meet Santa at Disney World

Santa Claus has a busy schedule at Walt Disney World.

During the 2026 holiday season, Santa is expected to make appearances across all four Walt Disney World theme parks.

He’ll also visit Disney Springs through December 24, giving families another opportunity for holiday photos and a chance for children to share their Christmas wishes.

Disney recommends checking My Disney Experience for specific appearance times and locations during your visit.

Don’t Overlook the Disney Resort Hotels

Some of Walt Disney World’s most impressive Christmas decorations aren’t inside the theme parks at all.

With more than 25 Disney Resort hotels, visitors can find elaborate Christmas trees, seasonal décor, specialty food and drinks and other festive touches throughout the resort collection.

At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, guests can even enjoy a carriage ride from Tri-Circle-D Ranch through the wooded campground.

Keep in mind that access policies can vary. Disney notes that resort holiday décor can be enjoyed by guests staying at the resorts and by visitors with valid dining reservations.

Planning Your Disney World Christmas 2026 Visit

With four theme parks, Disney Springs and the Disney Resort hotels all joining the celebration, it would be difficult to experience everything in a single day.

If Christmas entertainment is your priority, consider building several days into your Orlando itinerary. Magic Kingdom delivers the classic Disney Christmas experience, EPCOT brings global holiday traditions and flavors, Hollywood Studios offers a vintage cinematic celebration, and Animal Kingdom provides a more nature-inspired seasonal atmosphere.

Disney Springs is also worth setting aside an evening for, especially if you want to enjoy Christmas decorations, shopping, dinner and snowfall without purchasing another theme park ticket.

For travelers visiting Orlando between November and early January, the 2026 holiday season provides plenty of opportunities to add a little Disney Christmas magic to the trip.

Whether that means watching Cinderella Castle glow, meeting Santa, strolling among Disney-themed Christmas trees or simply enjoying the decorations with a seasonal treat in hand, Walt Disney World will once again be one of Central Florida’s biggest holiday destinations.
