Patina Restaurant Group Supports Cookies for Kids’ Cancer at Disney Springs This Fall

A sweet treat at Disney Springs is taking on an even more meaningful purpose this fall.

From September 1 through October 31, Patina Restaurant Group is bringing together three of its popular Disney Springs restaurants for a two-month fundraising campaign benefiting Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a national nonprofit dedicated to funding research for new, improved and less toxic treatments for children battling cancer.

Maria & Enzo’s, Enzo’s Hideaway and The Edison are participating in the campaign, giving guests an opportunity to support the cause simply by ordering one of several specially featured desserts.

A portion of the proceeds from each featured dessert sold during the campaign will benefit Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.

A Ginger Snap Cookie With a Bigger Purpose

At the center of the campaign is a house-made ginger snap cookie created by the Patina Restaurant Group culinary team.

Each of the three participating Disney Springs restaurants is incorporating the cookie into a specialty dessert available throughout September and October. While the desserts differ depending on where you dine, they all share the same goal: turning something as simple as dessert into an opportunity to help support pediatric cancer research.

At Maria & Enzo’s, guests can order the Coppa di Maria and Gelato, featuring vanilla, chocolate and pistachio gelato accompanied by sweet Amarena cherries and the house-made ginger snap cookie.

Enzo’s Hideaway is also serving the Coppa di Maria and Gelato, combining the trio of gelato flavors with Amarena cherries and the campaign’s signature ginger snap cookie.

Over at The Edison, the featured dessert takes a different direction. Guests can enjoy dulce de leche cheesecake with house-made gelato, topped with a ginger snap cookie.

Whether you are stopping at Disney Springs for dinner, planning an evening out or simply looking for dessert after a day at the theme parks, these limited-time offerings provide another reason to explore the dining scene this fall.

Patina Restaurant Group Joins the Fight Against Pediatric Cancer

For Patina Restaurant Group, the campaign is about more than introducing seasonal desserts.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with an organization that supports so many children battling pediatric cancer,” said Michael Gabriel, Executive Pastry Chef at Patina Restaurant Group. “Across our three restaurant concepts, our house-made ginger snap cookie will allow our guests a delicious way to help make a meaningful impact.”

Pediatric cancer remains one of the leading causes of disease-related death among children, making continued investment in research especially important. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer works to raise funds for research aimed at developing treatments that are not only more effective but also less toxic for young patients.

The Disney Springs campaign brings that mission directly to the table, allowing thousands of visitors and Central Florida residents to learn more about the cause while enjoying some of the destination’s most recognizable restaurants.

Three Disney Springs Restaurants, One Shared Cause

One of the things we appreciate about this campaign at OrlandoEscape.com is how easy it is for visitors to participate.

There is no separate fundraising event to attend or special ticket to purchase. Guests can simply include one of the featured desserts with their meal during the promotion period, and a portion of the proceeds will support Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.

The three participating restaurants also offer very different dining experiences.

Maria & Enzo’s is known for its grand waterfront setting and Italian-inspired menu, while the tucked-away Enzo’s Hideaway offers the atmosphere of a Prohibition-era speakeasy. The Edison brings its own distinctive style to Disney Springs with an industrial, 1920s-inspired setting, food, cocktails and entertainment.

That variety means the fundraiser can easily become part of several different types of Disney Springs outings, from a family meal to a date night or evening with friends.

When to Visit

The Cookies for Kids’ Cancer campaign runs from September 1 through October 31, giving guests two full months to participate.

Maria & Enzo’s, Enzo’s Hideaway and The Edison are each scheduled to operate from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., making the featured desserts available as part of lunch, dinner or an evening visit to Disney Springs.

Restaurant hours can occasionally change, particularly around holidays or special events, so it is always a good idea to confirm current hours when planning your visit.

Make Your Next Disney Springs Dessert Count

Orlando is filled with special events and seasonal treats during the fall, but this campaign offers something a little different. It connects a Disney Springs dining experience with a cause that reaches families far beyond Central Florida.

From September 1 through October 31, ordering a featured dessert at Maria & Enzo’s, Enzo’s Hideaway or The Edison is one small way guests can contribute to the effort to advance pediatric cancer research.

And if a ginger snap cookie happens to come with gelato, cheesecake or Amarena cherries along the way, that makes supporting the campaign even sweeter.
