For many families Orlando is their favourite vacation spot and return year after year. If that includes your family, read this article to see how up to date you are and see how many of this year’s new attractions you have already experienced. However, if you are shortly visiting Orlando for the first time, be sure to add the attractions listed below to your itinerary.

What’s new at Universal Orlando Resort?

Yes! The long wait for the new Fast & Furious Super Charged ride is over. The first Fast and the Furious film was released in 2001 and has become a popular cult series. Now you can be a part of it, as you explore the underworld of street car racing and be a player in a high-speed chase. See if your nerves can take it!
This summer, saw the opening of the new epic night show Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration. With familiar cinematic music, clips from your favorite films including Harry Potter, Minions and Jurassic World, plus lasers and fireworks, it is an unmissable show for any lover of film.

All things new at Walt Disney World Resort

The highly anticipated Toy Story Land is now open in Disney Hollywood Studios. It has lots of activities for both you and your children to do. Firstly, it has two great rides, Alien Swirling Saucers, an active spinning ride, and the Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster. Plus, you may get a chance to meet your favorite Toy Story characters. Do not miss this magical place!

If you are in the mood for dancing visit the Rocket Tower Stage at Tomorrowland, for a fresh new DJ hosted dance party. It’s Incredible! Join Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone and Edna for The Incredibles “SUPER” Dance Party.

If you are a fan of the soundtrack from the 2 awesome Guardians of the Galaxy films, then head to the American Gardens Theatre at EPCOT immediately for Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Tape Live. You will be taken on a musical journey with Starlord and Gamora.

New attractions at SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica

SeaWorld Orlando has opened a world record white-water rapid ride. As you leisurely venture through a beautiful jungle you can see magical fountains and waterfalls, until you take a sudden 40-foot drop into whipping white-water. Have a fun panicked giggle with your friends on Infinity Falls.

If you like getting wet, be sure to experience Ray Rush at Aquatica, in SeaWorld’s Waterpark. There are 3 ways to get soaked, but we won’t tell you how. You have to experience it for yourself!

Elsewhere in Orlando

Is there a superhero fan in your family? If so, then head to Madame Tussauds Orlando to see the newly unveiled wax figures of Justice League: A Call for Heroes. It could be your only chance to meet the dashing Henry Cavill in his Superman outfit.

If you have young children who love LEGO then you will be tempted to visit LEGOLAND Florida Resort. They too have opened a new ride for children to enjoy, called The Great LEGO Race and includes LEGO mini-figures, an espresso fuelled scooter and a rocket-powered surfboard.

For more adventure than just sliding down slides at a waterpark, spend the day at Orlando Watersports Complex. Challenge yourself to master wakeboarding, wakeskating, wake surfing, kneeboarding, and waterskiing. The Complex is located 10 miles from International Drive, towards the airport.

If you are afraid of heights, stop reading and go on to the final new attraction. On International Drive, you can now ride the tallest swing in the World. At 450 feet high, you can master your fears and see epic views of the city on the new Orlando StarFlyer.

The final new attraction to discuss for Orlando 2018 is Nona Adventure Park. It’s a great place for the whole family to have fun and work together as a team, with rock climbing towers and an inflatables water park where you can spend the whole day having fun.
